PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE

Please take notice that Auburn Asphalt, LLC, of 11 Interstate Dr, Suite 301, West Springfield MA, 01089, 1-800-343-9620, wecare@asmg.org, is intending to file on or about May 15, 2026 a multi-bureau license transfer application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection ("Department") for the transfer of all Department-issued licenses concerning the facility or project located at 427 Emerson Mill Road, Hermon, Maine.

Processing of the application will occur pursuant to 38 M.R.S. § 481 et seq., 38 M.R.S. § 581 et seq. and the Department's Chapter 2, Processing of Applications and Other Administrative Matters, 06-096 CMR 2.

The transfer application is for all permits associated with the operations of the Sargent Materials facility in Hermon, Maine including the Air Emissions license and Site Location of Development Act permit.

A request for a public hearing must be received by the Department in writing no later than 20 days after the application is found by the Department to be complete and is accepted for processing. A public hearing may or may not be held at the discretion of the Commissioner or Board of Environmental Protection. Public comment on the application will be accepted throughout the application processing period.

The application will be available for public viewing on the Department's Maine Enterprise Licensing System (MELS). Written public comments may be sent through this website and/or to the attention of Beth Callahan at Beth.Callahan@maine.gov. A copy of the application may also be seen at the municipal offices located in Hermon, Maine.
